Mica Band Heaters
Mica band heaters are heating elements commonly used to heat cylindrical surfaces, especially in the plastics and packaging industries. They are constructed by placing a resistance wire (usually nickel-chromium) between layers of mica insulation and encasing the assembly in a metal (typically stainless steel) sheath.
